Usnea (Usnea
barbata, dried lichen). Specific for pneumonia, pleurisy,
bronchitis, sinusitis, cystitis, urethritis, sore and/or Strep
throat. Used externally for Staph, Strep or fungal infection,
impetigo, athlete's foot, ringworm or as a douche in Trichomonas
infection.
Dose: Internally: Take 20-40 drops three
to five times a day.
Externally: Use straight or diluted as a wash. 
Uva
Ursi (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, dried
leaf). For acute cystitis and urethritis accompanied with
sharp stabbing-like pain when urinating; kidney or bladder
ulceration. For cystitis in paraplegics.
Dose: Take 20-30 drops four to five times
a day for up to one week to achieve best results.
Contraindications: Not
in pregnancy. Not in individuals with a history of kidney
disorders, irritated digestive conditions, and with acidic
urine or in conjunction with remedies which produce acidic
urine.
Side effects: May
cause stomach irritation.
Warning: Not for
prolonged use without consulting a primary care practitioner.
